After I posted a personal statement at Nipate.com in which I tried to avoid any opprobrium, an old post that suggested a conspiracy between me and "Dr. Masinde" was "renewed". It was preceded by a post under the one I posted making similar insinuations. I was forced to eat humble pie and post a defence.

I want to make it clear that I have never entered in to any kind of arrangement with Dr Masinde. I joined Nipate BEFORE Dr Masinde. I have never really had any strategic alliance with him on any issue. I did change my mind at RCB and supported him after a long period of soul searching. I was convinced that he had won the poll and that he later lost afterwards under unclear circumstances.

I left RCB because the forces that out to prevent any intelligent debate overwhelmed me. I had the choice to stay there and fight and defeat them and end up alone at the site or simply walk away. Nipate happened to come by and I said why not.

Masinde did come to the site much later than such serious debaters like Pundit, Duru, Tornado, 64, Cookie, etc. (can't name them all)

Everyone knows that controversy drives up the numbers. After a period of niceties and platitudes, the forum picked up on real issues that now define it. We had Kichwa Mbaya and others come in and resume their one on one with Pundit. I took off my own gloves and went after Pundit.

I am sure if I knew Pundit in person, we could easily have a drink together and promise to meet "in the field" the next day.

I have no idea who Nairobi pundit is and do not wish to know. He has launched a great site. For Masinde to start these silly rumours knowing full well that they will harm the site makes me wonder why. I hope the latest propaganda shall not make a dent on his site. There are very few self-regulation sites right now.

It has also been suggested that I tried to ask for "Bunge". This is from RCB where for a while there was panic from Njamlik (and) "Kuze", that I might go "back" there. (When did I leave?). I have not suggested any such thing to Nairobi Pundit. Bunge at RCB was an attempt to make use of all the resources at the site. Unfortunately it was an idea too advanced for the banter loving crowd over there - a majority who have posted thousands of one liners that never added value to the site. After I allegedly "left" Njamlik who incidentally made a dramatic "re-entry" the week elections were called posted over 200 posts nagging Rich to take down Bunge. He was not coming up with suggestions to improve the site. He was out to demolish it so it could look like it was before he "disappeared". Masharubu still insists on the old site with its dilapidated software. All these people are allegedly young but they have ideas that are older than Shariff Nassir! So much for "youthful" leadership!

So what does "ending a 'strategic' arrangement" mean? Has he been paying me? Or as he insinuates that I control Raila's propaganda funds, have I been paying him to sanitize Raila from criticism?

As I said earlier, the excessive and often crazy criticism of Raila simply works to the advantage of Raila. The rantings simply overwhelm people and cause them not to pay attention. It is a tactic used veru effectively in NAZI Germany. The people are exposed to the same or similar information around the clock. The message is consistent and persistent. And here is the clincher: ANYTHING (and anybody) that causes discordant is destroyed! There is no room for variation in the message. Facts shall be bent to the extent that they conform and break on the contrary.

When Masinde extended his attacks towards me; I had two choices: To devote one week or two to take him on and cut him to size, or walk away. Heaven knows I have done that before.

In Masinde's case I have decided to give him enough rope to hang himself. He shall fall on his own sword.
